Vehicle Accident-Campti Cut-Of– January 2010

Russell L. Manausa, 44, of 1815 South Drive was charged with careless operation following a single vehicle crash where his 1997 Chevrolet pickup overturned on the Campti Cutoff, La. 486, about 1 mile south of Campti. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18 and blocked traffic for approximately 45 minutes. Natchitoches Parish Fire Dist. #9 used the Jaws of Life to free Manausa from the wreckage. He was transported to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.

Responding to the incident were Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Dept., La. State Police, Natchitoches Parish EMS, Natchitoches Parish Fire Dist. #9,Campti Police Dept. and Clarence Police Dept.
